Ingredients
For the Apple Filling
- 4 medium apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- 2 tbsp maple syrup or honey
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
For the Crumble Topping
- 1 cup rolled oats (use certified gluten-free if needed)
- ½ cup almond flour (or whole wheat flour)
- ¼ cup chopped nuts (walnuts or almonds)
- 2 tbsp coconut oil (or unsalted butter)
- 2 tbsp coconut sugar or maple syrup
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the apples – In a mixing bowl, toss chopped apples with cinnamon, nutmeg, maple syrup, and lemon juice. Transfer to a baking dish.
- Make the crumble topping – In another bowl, mix oats, almond flour, nuts, coconut sugar, and melted coconut oil.
- Assemble & Bake – Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the apples. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until golden brown.
- Cool & Serve – Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.
