Healthy Breakfast Apple Crumble Recipe

If you’re looking for a nutrient-dense and satisfying way to start your morning, a healthy breakfast apple crumble is an excellent choice.


Ingredients

For the Apple Filling

  • 4 medium apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup or honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

For the Crumble Topping

  • 1 cup rolled oats (use certified gluten-free if needed)
  • ½ cup almond flour (or whole wheat flour)
  • ¼ cup chopped nuts (walnuts or almonds)
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil (or unsalted butter)
  • 2 tbsp coconut sugar or maple syrup

 


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Prepare the apples – In a mixing bowl, toss chopped apples with cinnamon, nutmeg, maple syrup, and lemon juice. Transfer to a baking dish.
  • Make the crumble topping – In another bowl, mix oats, almond flour, nuts, coconut sugar, and melted coconut oil.
  • Assemble & Bake – Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the apples. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Cool & Serve – Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.
